As the family story has been told, that Harriet and Thomas and their children were headed west while on a wagon trail in LaRue, Henderson, Texas. While passing through, Harriet fell ill and died on the side of the trail. Thomas buried her right there near the wagon trail.
Later years, being a machinest, he came back and made her a headstone and placed it where she layed. Being now in the future, the new owners of that land moved her headstone to make way for a deer fence. So it is believed that the headstone is lost.
