BURNSVILLE - Jesse "J.B." Barnes, 73, died Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at his home. He was a member of Antioch Freewill Baptist Church and a Mason. He was retired from Reynolds after many years of dedicated service. His biggest hobbies were working and staying busy.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Glen with Bro. Mike Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Mattie "Pat" Barnes of Burnsville; two sons, Harold Lynn Barnes of Iuka and Marty Barnes (Sonja) of Jackson; three brothers, Wayne Barnes (Clara) and Nathan Lovelace (Delma), both of Iuka, and Doyal Lovelace (Maxine) of Tuscumbia, Ala.; one sister, Ruth Gist (Jimmy) of Memphis; four grandchildren, Randy Barnes (Jill) of Brandon, Kim Pittman (Jeremy) of Iuka, Walker Barnes and Kirsti Jackson, both of Madison; three great-grandchildren, Julie Foster, Byron Barnes and Jackson Pittman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Elsie Nunley Barnes; his stepmother, Ollie Barnes; five brothers, James Barnes, Ira Barnes, David Lovelace, Avon Lovelace and Carvis Lovelace; and three sisters, Mollie Bray, Lena South and Ona Mae Moorehead.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Barnes, Sonny Barnes, Terry Bullard, Gwen Cross, Jimmy Fowler, Brian Hudson, Dean Jones and Mark McKee.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 10:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
