Gary W. Brokaw age 62 of Ashland, died Saturday 10 April 2014 at Grant Medical Center. He was born in Mansfield on 22 April 1951, the son of Frank and Cecilia (Darling) Brokaw. Gary had been a resident of Ashland County for the past 40 Yrs. He was a 1969 Graduate of Madison High School. He had b een employed with Sears for 10 yrs, Westinghouse for 10 yrs, and later retired from Lippert Warehouse after 20 yrs of service. Gary enjoyed wood working and gardening, He was an active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses. In addition to being devoted to his family he dedicated his life to Jehovah April 1973 and faithfully endured to the end.
On 20 Oct 1973 Gary married Sarah Baich who survives. Also surviving are his children, Aliscia (Jamie) Spellman of Marion, Seth (Hallie) Brokaw of Mansfield, Andrea (Nick) Simcheck of Michigan; his two Grandchildren, Gavin Spellman and Sydney Spellman; five sisters, Norma Jean Garrison of Ashland, Verda (John) Reese of Florida, Shirley (Don) Weber of Mansfield, Linda Shreffler of Florida, Sherry (Larry) Weese of Mansfield, along with his brother, Roger (Earlene) Brokaw of Mansfield.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.
A Memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday Alril 26 2014 at the Kingdon Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with Rick Alam officiating.
