Roger and his family made a generous donation of his eyes to be used for corneal implants and medical study and education.
Roger was born April 28, 1942 at Pontiac, IL to George & Rosemary (Quinn Hartnett) Heuer. He married Janice Currin at Chenoa, IL in 1965. She survives. Also surviving are three sons, Jeffrey A. (Jessica) Heuer, of Greensboro, GA, Eric P. (Kristen) Heuer, of Lexington and Michael J. (Kara) Heuer, of Normal, six grandchildren, Tyler, Jeffrey "Mac", Kathleen, Grace, Sydney and Hannah, two brothers, Ron Heuer, of McHenry, IL and Robert Heuer, of North Carolina, and one sister, Ruth (Ray) Sipe, of North Carolina, a sister-in-law, Sally (Bill) Gulley, of Le Roy. His parents preceded him in death.
Roger graduated from Chenoa High School and attended Illinois State University. He had served in the Illinois National Guard. He was employed with Farnsworth & Wylie and later retired from McLean County Highway Department.
Roger enjoyed activities with his sons and grandchildren, including serving as a 4-H Leader for several years. He was also active and served as president of the Lexington Genealogical and Historical Society.
Cremated, Location of ashes is unknown.
