Rev. James B. "Jim" Crocker, 75, of Longview left his earthly home on Oct. 28, 2010. He was a former resident of Franklin, Ind.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Carolyn Weir Crocker; sons, Clay and Laura Crocker of Indianapolis, Ind., Kurt Crocker of Prague, Cory Crocker of Seattle, Wash., Web and Nikki Crocker of Sherman Cody and Beth Crocker of Greenwood, Ind., Robert Crocker of Franklin, Ind.; daughter, Cameron Crocker of Franklin, Ind.; stepdaughter, Rebecca and Richard Mongeau of Las Vegas, Nevada. He is also survived by his 26 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and sisters, Mary Crocker of Palacios, Margaret Ford of Houston; and brother, Charles Crocker. He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Kay Peurifoy Crocker in 2002; a daughter, Karalyn Crocker in 1970; and a grandson.
Rev. Crocker served the Scipio Presbyterian Church of Scipio, Ind. for more than 20 years. He also served the Alpine Presbyterian Church of Longview for three years. His friends among the Presbyterian members and the congregation are many.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home. Friends of Jim are invited to attended the graveside services that will be held at the Alpine Presbyterian Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010 with Elder Clifford Gowens and Rev. John Woodard officiating.
Services are under the direction of Welch Funeral Home, 4619 Judson Road, Longview.
