Mildred Adeline Alexander, a native of Elko County, passed away at the Battle Mountain Hospital Long Term Care Unit. She was 82 years old. Mildred was born to Martin and Lillie Goodale Churchfield and was reared and schooled there. She married Arvel Buckles in 1936 in Elko Nevada where they lived for several years and were later divorced. She lived in Ogden, UT for several years, then moved to Battle Mountain in 1988 to be closer to her family. She was a homemaker and enjoyed watching television and being with family. She is survived by her son, Norman Buckles of Carson City; daughter, Lillie Larsgaard of Battle Mountain, NV; sister, Norma Pengelly of Spring Creek; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Arvel Buckles, son, Omer Buckles, daughter, Rosie McKenna, nephew, Jerry Dimitroff and her parents.
