After graduating from Utica High School in 1973, he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Miami University of Ohio in 1977.
David worked a number of years as a retail manager for J.C. Penney and Lane Bryant. Later on, he served as a financial consultant and planner with Ameriprise Financial Services in Tampa, Florida.
David enjoyed the ocean and spent time there with his friends in Florida. He was a member of Greenpeace and The Nature Conservancy.
He is survived by two brothers, Mark D. (Karen) Lonsinger of Charleston, W.Va., and Paul P. Lonsinger of Utica, Ohio; three nephews, Michael D. (Jocelyn) Lonsinger, Matthew D. (Teresa) Lonsinger, and M. Daniel Lonsinger, all of Charleston, W.Va.; and two great-nephews, Devin C. and William M. Lonsinger.
