Woody Everett, 94, Cedar Grove, NJ, formerly of Gower & Stewartsville, died April 15, 2007. Funeral service 11 a.m. Fri., April 20 at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower. Burial with military honors: Allen Cem., Gower. Masonic service 6:30 p.m. Thurs., April 19 at the funeral home visitation following until 8:30 p.m.

CEDAR GROVE, N.J. -Woody Everett, 94, of Cedar Grove, formerly of Gower and Stewartsvllle, Mo. passed away Sunday, April 15, 2007.
He was born on April 4. 1913. to Leslie B. and Julia (McGaughey) Everett near Hemple Mo., where he grew up and later graduated from Gower High School. He then served his country in the U S Army Air Corps during WW II.
On Oct. 9, 1937. he was united in marriage to R. Katheryn Cone. After their marriage, they lived in Stewartsville until 1979 when they moved to Gower. Hls wife Katheryn passed away May 24, 1983. In 2000, Woody moved to Cedar Grove.
Woody owned and operated Standard Oil and later Amoco Oil Co in Stewartsville for many years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Stewartsville, and American Legion Post No 508 and Masonic Lodge No. 37. A.F. & A.M., both in Stewartsville.
Woody also was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Everett; and sisters, Violet Poage, Georgia D. Everett, Anna Horn and Ermine Mosby.
He is survived by hls daughter and son-in-law, Carol Jean and Jack Cafferty, Cedar Grove; two granddaughters, Leslie Katheryn Cafferty and Leigh Marie Cafferty; two step granddaughters, Julie Shawn Klewer and Jill Shannon Matchinsky, and four step great-grandchildren.
Funeral serviced 11 a.m.Fnday, April 20, at Hixson-Klem Funeral Home, Gower. Bunal. Allen Cemetery, Gower, with military honors. Masonic service. 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 19, at the funeral home, where visitation will follow until 8-30 p m
