Mark Frederick Bade, 65, of Shelby Township, died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2007, in Crittenton Hospital, Rochester. He was born March 29, 1942, in Mount Clemens.
Mr. Bade retired in 2002 after more than 33 years of employment as a driver for Anheuser-Busch. He was an active member of Teamsters Local 1038, Detroit, where he had served as a past union leader. He served as a volunteer with the Clinton River Watershed Council, Rochester, where he earned a Volunteer of the Year award. His family said he will be remembered as an avid golfer and fan of major league sport teams from Detroit, namely the Detroit Tigers. He also enjoyed gardening and collecting stamps.
Mr. Bade is survived by his daughter, Lisa (John) Hickman of Reno, Nev.; son, Carl (fiancee Debby) Bade of Chicago, Ill.; father, Russell Bade of Mount Clemens; sister, Betty (Peter) Meyerink of Berrien Springs; brother-in-law, Kenny Vogt of North Palm Beach, Fla.; and nieces, Karen and Diane.
He was predeceased by his mother, Julia (nee Merk) Bade; and sister, Ann Vogt.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, 140 S. Main St., Mount Clemens. He donated his body to science at Wayne State University, Detroit.
