Matthew Scott Albers, 30, of Muskego, Wis., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 11, 2007. He was born July 24, 1976, in Warren.
Mr. Albers was a 1995 graduate of Macomb Christian Schools in Warren. He attended Kettering University, Lawrence Tech University and the University of Phoenix. Before going on disability leave, he worked for the Waterford Schools district as a computer and network technician.
He was fascinated by lights, had a passion for trains, and "he was red, white and blue through and through," a family member said. But more than that, he had a compassionate heart for all who were hurting. His last few years were full of pain and other medical conditions, but he lived his life to the fullest. He was trusting in the Lord Jesus as his savior and now is in His presence in heaven (2 Cor. 5:6-9). He will be missed by his school mates, Mike, Ada and Darnie, his extended family, which he cared deeply for, his online friends and his cat, Indy.
He is survived by his parents, Howard and Brenda Albers of Warren; brothers, Mark Albers of Clinton Township and Micah Albers of Warren; grandparents, Flora Albers, of Bluffs, Ill.; and Robert and Lucille Goodrow of Lupton; and his "adopted" brothers, Bob, James, Ralph and Todd.
A family gathering was held in Muskego on Wednesday, June 13, 2007.
Memorial services in Michigan will begin with a gathering of family and friends at noon, followed by a service at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 30, 2007, at Heritage Baptist Church, 14 Mile Road (at Van Dyke), Sterling Heights.
