Bruna Amaradio, longtime resident of Fraser, died peacefully Saturday morning in St. John Macomb Hospital. She was 83 years of age. Bruna was born in Italy on January 12, 1924, daughter of the late Sabatino and Alfonsina (Pisi) Bartolomei. She was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Joseph, on March 27, 1942 in Detroit. The couple resided in Detroit until making their home in Fraser in 1952. Bruna worked first as a secretary to the Fraser city manager then for the Fraser Detective Department for over 30 years, retiring at the age of 75 in 1999. Bruna loved to garden. She would work on her yard morning till night and by the end of the summer she had the best yard in the city of Fraser. She also loved animals, especially her American Eskimo dog, Cosmo. Bruna was a loving and caring woman who will be deeply missed by the many she has touched in her lifetime. Bruna is survived by her loving siblings, Dora (the late Alfonso) Colombo and Peter (Cheryl) Bartolomei; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph in 1970. Visitation will be held at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Rd., Fraser, Monday 5pm-9pm & Tuesday 2pm-9pm with a Scripture service at 7pm. A mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11am with additional visitation at 10:30am in St. Malachy Catholic Church, 14085 E. 14 Mile Rd, Sterling Heights.
