Roy was born to the late George Roy and Winnie Lancaster Elliott, of Kenedy, TX. During World War II, he served in the United States Navy.
Preceding him in death: his grandson, Sgt. Barry Kenneth Meza (1981-19 Dec. 2004), age 23, of League City, TX, who died in Shuaybah, Kuwait, 180th Transportation Battalion, 13th Corps Support Command, Fort Hood, TX, and a brother, Glenn Duane Elliott.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Helen Ramzinsky Elliott; daughter, Tammy Brazle and husband Mark; son, Kenneth Lee Elliott; granddaughters, Rachael Meza-Cantu and Eva Brazle; grandson, Kit Brazle; great-grandchildren, Miranda and Marcus Cantu, Richard and Barry Meza, Jr. and Corey Brazle; sister, Thelma Ruth Kelly; brother, J. W. Elliott and wife Emma.
