Charlene Mae Benstein, age 84, of Glen Ellyn, formerly of Elgin and St. Charles, died Nov. 6, 2007 at Sunrise Assisted Living in Glen Ellyn. She was born Aug. 22, 1923 in Marengo to Hartwell and Maude Kelley. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert; three children, Sue (Thomas) Meyer of Bradenton, Fla.; Craig (Mary Jo) of Glen Ellyn and Lynn (Michael) Renker of Aurora, Colo.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Jo (Gene) Pint of Hot Springs Village, Ark., and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Paul; and a brother, Frederick. Entombment was at River Hills Memorial Park Cemetery in Batavia on November 9, 2007.
