Paul Harlan Buck
Paul Harlan Buck, 47, of Carson died Apr. 10, 2009. He was born to Gordon and Bonita Buck in Green Bay, Wis. on Dec 7, 1961.
He loved sports of all kinds especially football as a youth. As a youngster he and his dad went to Packers games. While in high school, he played football and was on the track team. After high school, he went to college for one year but decided that wasn't for him and he joined the National Guard.
In the spring of 1982 he moved to California and worked in the trucking industry.
He met his wife, Norma Celler, in the fall of 1982 and they married in 1984 in Las Vegas, Nev. They purchased their first home in Long Beach, Calif. and started their family. He moved his family to Vancouver, Wa. in 1988. Paul moved his wife and two children to Carson in 1992.
He worked for many years in the trucking industry as a dispatcher and later on as a corrections officer for the Skamania County Sheriff's office.
He loved in the Packers and never missed a game except for a wrestling match. He coached kids in soccer, football and wrestling.
He was very supportive of his children's achievements. His daughter Elizabeth will graduate from Arizona State University soon and his son Andrew was admitted into the US Naval Academy.
He enjoyed traveling to different places with his wife Norma.
He is survived by his wife, Norma; children Elizabeth and Andrew; parents Gordon and Bonita; sister Kathleen, sisters-in-law, Emily Medieros, Cindy Celler and Kim Celler; brothers-in-law, Ted Celler and Gene Medieros and many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and many, many friends.
A funeral service was held Saturday, Apr. 18, 2009 at Carson Bible Church.
