Christopher “Big Dean” Allen Dean, 26, of Monongah, passed away Saturday (Feb. 15, 2014).
He was born Oct. 6, 1987, in Morgantown, son of David and Glenda (Cunningham) Dean of Monongah.
The saying “The Good Die Young” definitely applies to Chris. He will be missed by many.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one sister, Sharon Bowman and her husband Robert of Hundred; three brothers, David Dean Jr. and wife Aleshka of Morgantown, the Rev. Dan Cunningham and wife Kacie of Monongah, and James Dean of Fairmont; his paternal grandmother, Opal Dean of Fairmont; aunts and uncles, Diane Brumage and husband Harry of Fairmont, David Cunningham and wife Karen of Monongah, Clyde “Butch” Dean of Fairmont, Roselea Bass of Fairmont, Bonnie Ferrell and husband Harry of Lumberport, and Catherine Musgrove of Virginia; cousins, Mitchell Cunningham, Steven Cunningham and Ace Cunningham; nieces and nephews, Daniel, Jaidyn, Grayson, Samantha and Austin Cunningham; and several other nieces and nephews. Christopher also leaves behind many good friends.
He especially enjoyed playing basketball and video games with his good friends, Steven Hollabaugh and Walt Smith.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, David A. Dean; and his maternal grandparents, Oscar and Lucille Cunningham.
The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave. in Fairmont, from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and from 9-11 a.m. Friday. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Fluharty officiating. Interment will follow at Claremont [sic] Cemetery in Eldora.
