|Death: ||Jun., 2001|
Ted Kaye was survived by two children and one sister. At one time he had been an Executive, and then later became a Carpenter. He was at one time a Grosse Pointe Farms, MI resident and was Automotive Icon Henry Ford II's neighbor. His one story he related to me was that Nat King Cole's car broke down in front of his house and he saw Henry Ford II and Nat King Cole looking over his broken down car. It was 1960 and Henry Ford II's Daughter Anne Ford's Debutante party was happening and Nat King Cole was the entertainment for the night. As he related that he knew that the Ford family and Nat King Cole were friends. Ted never strayed to
to far from his hometown of Dearborn, MI, and ended up living there the rest of his life, working as a Carpenter. He was a board member for the Dearborn Fordson High School Alumni Association which he graduated from in 1953. In June 2001, he was found slumped in his front seat at a Dearborn Store's parking lot. Ted had died of a Heart Attack. Ted was a kind man who I will never forget.
