Evelyn Arlene Brown, of Petersburg, VA, died at her residence. She attended the LaCrosse Graded School in Mecklenburg County, VA and later participated in an Education for Adults Program in Petersburg, VA. She was employed at The Petersburg Home for Ladies and later by the Poplar Springs Hospital for twenty years. Upon retirement, she worked in custodial service at The Zion Baptist Church of Petersburg, VA.
For several years Evelyn Brown held membership in Zion Baptist Church and was faithful in attendance, prayers and support. She was a caring, good hearted lady who was willing to share her blessings with others. She demonstrated her citizenship by voting in each election.
A memorial service was held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, March 17, 2007 at the Zion Baptist Church, 225 Byrne Street, Petersburg, VA.
