John P. Amacher, age 68, of Harborcreek passed away Sunday, February 9, 2014 in a tragic fire at his home. Also killed in the fire were his grandsons Jacob Waldinger, age 4, and Aiden Waldinger, age 3.
John was born in Erie on December 10, 1945. He was an automobile mechanic working for several places in Erie.
Jacob Waldinger was born May 1, 2009 and Aidan Waldinger was born September 10, 2010. They are the sons of Laura Amacher Victoria and Daniel T. Waldinger. They were active boys, and enjoyed 4-wheeling, playing mechanic and with their monster trucks. They were loving and great fun to be around.
John leaves behind three children, Laura Victoria, Terry Amacher and John Robert Smiley and grandchildren. Jacob and Aiden leave behind their brothers and sisters, Ashlyn, Lexus, Nicolas, Chenoa, McKayla, Zachary and McKenzie; grandparents, Judy and Cecil Snider and Richard and Susan Waldinger; great grandparents, Jeanette and Tom Kemorick and Gail Schwank; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
