Creola "Jewell" Alaniva was born in Neoga, Illinois on February 14, 1924 to Frank and Nellie Titus.

She graduated from Dearborn High School and after graduation she worked for the John Hancock Life Insurance company. She joined the U.S. Navy in 1942 and was honorably discharged as a Yoman 2nd class.

She was married to William Aale Alaniva on October 8, 1944 in Gulf Port, Mississippi. The couple moved to Colorado Springs in 1958. They were members of Circle Drive Baptist Church for 25 years.

She was very active in church affairs. The 1995, they moved to Sun City, AZ, where they lived until 2003. They returned to Colorado Springs and since have been faithful attenders of Woodmen Valley Chapel.

Jewell is survived by her husband William and their five children, Lynne Wilson and her husband Nick of San Antonio, Texas, Karen VanWagenen and her husband George of Colorado Springs, Doug Alaniva and his wife Sue of Homer, Alaska, Patricia Kautz and her husband Dr. Bruce of Colorado Springs and John Alaniva and his wife Maureen of San Antonio, Texas as well as 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Jewell accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in Dearborn, Michigan in 1946. She love and followed Jesus Christ the rest of her earthly life. She was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, neighbor and a prayer warrior for each and every one.

Everyone will miss her very much.
