Aletha Lois Francoeur was born Oct.9, 1927 at Gove, KS, to Ferd and Ester (Burris) Francoeur and departed this life on June 11, 1989, at Salina, KS, at the age of 61 years, 8 months and 2 days.

Aletha grew up in Gove attending both grade school and high school there. She helped her father in his filling station during WWII. She served several years as Gove Co. Deputy treasurer and later was elected Gove Co. Treasurer for two terms. She also served as Finny Co. Deputy Tresurer.

On November 26, 1946, she was married to Junior Jesse Morse at Hoxie, KS. He died on March 24, 1960. To this union one son, William Jesse, was born. In 1961, she and Earl Lymn Bretton, Jr. were married at Colby, KS, Aletha, her son, William and Earl and his son, Richard Lymn, lived in Gove. In 1962 a son, Raymond Dale, was born to Aletha and Earl.

In 1968 the family moved to Garden City where they resided until 1984, when they moved to Salina to be nearer their sons.

Aletha was a loving wife and caring mother and grandmother. Besides her family, Aletha's greatest joys were her camping activities and bowling. She cared very deeply for her friends and always had a cup of coffee and time to visit for everyone.

She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign WarAuxiliary No. 2981, Oakley; the Gove United Methodist Chburch and the UBU Sunflower Campers, associated with KCA. She was a former member of the Rebekah Lodge, Eagle Lodge and GArden City Bowling League.

Aletha was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Ester Francoeur and Junior Jesse Morse.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Earl; her son, Richard Lymn Bretton and wife, Elma and grandson, Shawn Michael, of Salina; her son, William Jesse Morse, Salina; jer son, Raymond Dale and wife, Julie, Hutchinson; one brother, Ferd Francoeur, Jr., Oakley; one sister, Wilma Lynch, Tacoma, WA; two sisters-in-law, Beula Wilson and husband, Max, Gove and Earlene Sterrman, Gove; several nieces, nephews, cousins an a host of other relatives and frends.
