JOKSTAD, Florence Veverka
Born a century ago in Chicago just after the Wright Brothers made their historic flight, Florence Jokstad passed away peacefully at her home in Montecito on April 6, 2004 amidst 100 colorful birthday balloons sent by her dear friends, the Ireland Family, in commemoration of her long and eventful life.
Florence - always an encourager of others - was as selfless as it is possible to be. She was the consummate "team player."
Her profound pride in the success and accomplishments of others and her twinkling spirit made her always young-at-heart and popular with the young. Indeed, to know Florence Jokstad was to love her.
