MISSOULA - Inez M. Brown, 88, of Missoula, passed away after a short illness on Monday, Feb. 25, 2002, at St. Patrick Hospital.
She was born on Jan. 30, 1914, to Henry and Hannah Nyberg in Mullan, Idaho, where she was raised and educated.
In 1946 she married Harold Brown in Missoula. Throughout her life she helped on the family ranch up Rock Creek.
Inez loved anything to do with flowers and her favorite bouquets were those of dandelions, given to her by her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son Lonnie Brown in 1971; husband Harold on Jan. 28, 1998; brother Henry Nyberg; and sister Rubina Ivanich.
Survivors include her daughters, Sheila Long and her husband, Charles, of Missoula; and Merelee Norton and her husband, Gerald, of St. Maries, Idaho; two grandsons and their wives, Mike and Lora Norton and Jeff and Breanna Norton; four great-grandsons, Andrew, Conor, Cameron and Brandon Norton; and two special friends, Laverne Harbrige and Marlene Marshall.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at Garden City Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, 3550 Mullan Road, Missoula, MT 59808.
