Abigail Jane Benway, 7, died after an apparent murder suicide, perpetrated by her father, Daryl Benway. The incident also left her older brother Owen in serious condition.
She was to start second grade soon at Chaffee Elementary School. She was a member of Girl Scout Troop 30545 in Oxford. She also enjoyed all types of crafts, beading, gardening, dancing, and playing dress-up.
Abigail was predeceased by her paternal grandfather Kenneth Benway.
In addition to her brother Owen, Abigail is survived by her mother Kelleen Benway; sister Nickole; two grandmothers; one grandfather and a great grandfather.
A private funeral service was held at the First Congregational Church in Oxford.
Funeral arrangements under the direction of Paradis Funeral Home.
