Vonnie (Wilson) Duncan age 72, departed this world on December 18, 2010, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born August 13, 1938, in Lovington, New Mexico, to Mac and Nora Wilson.
Vonnie grew up in Clayton, Oklahoma, was a graduate of Clayton High School and met and married Jack Duncan there in 1955. They moved to Yukon, Oklahoma, in 1962 after his time in the Air Force.
She went to work for the Federal Aviation Administration in 1962, started at the bottom and worked her way to the top, retiring from the Budget Division in 1998 after 36 years.
She was a member of The Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and survived by her husband Jack of 55 years, one son Jackie V. Duncan and wife Martha, one daughter, Aletia Rother and husband Mark, grandchildren Shanna, Jimmy, Jackie, Sara and Wendy, and by one great-grandchild and dog Sammy.
Vonnie was the "Rock" of her family and she will be dearly missed. The family was very proud of her accomplishments and called her simply "Amazing"!
Services will be held 10:00am Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at the United Methodist Church of The Good Shepherd in Yukon, Oklahoma, with interment to follow in the Mustang Cemetery, Mustang, Oklahoma.
