Vicki L. Goddard, age 53, of Monmouth, passed away on November 8th at 11:40 pm at the scene of a single car accident near Galesburg. Vicki was born on December 16, 1956 in Muskegon, Michigan and is the daughter of Ronald and Shirley Houghtaling Harter. She was raised and educated in Muskegon until her junior year when they moved to Metamora, Illinois where she graduated from Metamora High School. She later attended and received her nurses training from Methodist Medical Center's school of nursing in Peoria. Vicki first was married to Roger Rowden. She later married John C. Goddard on February 29, 1984 in Metamora, Illinois. He is surviving. Vicki began work at St.Mary Medical Center in OB Labor and Delivery and was employed there. She enjoyed crafting handmade jewelry and crocheting for her family and friends. She also liked mushrooming, flowers, and working in her garden.
She is survived by her husband, John C. Goddard of Monmouth, two daughters Selina Goddard of Murfreesboro, TN; and Jennifer Clinch of Havana, IL. One son is surviving, Jeremy Rowden of Monmouth, IL. There are four grandchildren.
Her parents survive, Ronald and Shirley Harter of Muskegon, MI, and her father in law Clem Goddard of Monmouth, IL. Vicki was preceded in death by her brother and a granddaughter.

Services: A gathering of family and friends will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, November 12, 2010 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. Cremation has been accorded. A memorial fund has been established as an education fund for her grandchildren.
