Jacob Bauling

Services for Jacob Bauling, 79, a retired neighborhood department store owner, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Goodman-Bensman funeral home, 5831 W. Burleigh st. Burial will be in Anshai Lebowitz Cemetery.

Mr. Bauling, who operated the store at his home, 830 W. Arthur av. from 1920 to 1945, died Wednesday at Shoreview convalescent home. He was a past commander of Dawson camp, United Spanish-American War Veterans, and a past president of the Progressive Order of the West.

He was a member of the Milwaukee Jewish Home for the Aged, the Congregation of Anshai Lebowitz and Peter Royal Feldman post, Jewish War Veterans.

Surviving him are two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Carter and Mrs. Mae Pachefsky of Milwaukee, and a brother, Leon, and a sister, Mrs. Juliet Eliescu, both of New York city.

The body will be at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Thursday.

Challenges Will; Father Left Her $5 of $153,858

Bequeathed only $5, a daughter has challenged the will of her father who left an estate of $153,858.

Objections on grounds of fraud and undue influence were disclosed when and inventory was filed in the estate of Jacob Bauling, a retired neighborhood department store owner. Bauling, who operated the store at his home, 830 W. Arthur av., from 1920 - 1945, died Oct. 21, 1969. He as 79.

Mrs.
County Judge Rudolph Mudroch will conduct a trial at 9:30 a.m. Monday to determine the validity of the will.
