Born in Ribe, Sydvestjylland, Denmark, he emigrated from Glasgow, Scotland and arrived in the US on March 15, 1902. At the time of his Declaration of Intent on January 31, 1918, he was a railroad engineer and at the time of his Petition for Naturalization, he stated that he was a salor.
Death cert states incorrectly that Mack was single. He married Cassabelle (Morrow) Fassett in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. She predeceased him in 1935. Mack enlisted in the US Merchant Marine during WWII and afterward worked at shipyards. Surname also spelled incorrectly (Bennettson) on death cert.
