Richard D. Wann, 57, of Mountville, passed away peacefully at his home in Manor Township, on Monday, March 4, 2013 following a lengthy illness. He was married to Kimberly A. (Betz) Wann on September 19, 1998.
Born January 9, 1956 in Lancaster, he was the son of the late George H. Wann, Jr. and Gertrude E. (Ryan) Wann.
Rick worked as a Respiratory Therapist for over 39 years at the former St. Joseph Hospital, now Lancaster Regional Medical Center.
In addition to his wife of nearly 15 years, he will be lovingly missed by a daughter, Alicia K., wife of Thomas Pereschuk, of Windsor Mill, MD; five brothers, George H. Wann, III, of Florida; Joseph J. Wann, of Ephrata; Glenn C. Wann, of Leola; John E. Wann, of Lancaster, William H. Wann, of Chicago and two sisters, Lynn D. Lugo, of Lancaster and Kathryn E. Iannacone, of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by a sister, Roberta M. Bowman.
A Celebration of Rick's Life will be held at the Andrew T. Scheid Funeral Home, 320 Blue Rock Road, Route 999, Millersville, PA 17551, on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 2 PM (Visitation 12:30-2 PM). Kindly omit flowers. Memorial Remembrances can be made in Rick's memory to The ARC of Lehigh and Northampton Counties, 2289 Avenue A, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
