James Preston Stroud, a long-time resident of Mount Vernon, passed away on 2/26/2013.
Jim was born in Jackson, MO on 8/14/1926 to James and Edna Stroud.
He was a police officer in Los Angeles, CA, served in the Navy Reserves, the Army and the Merchant Marines.
He survived by a son and his wife, David and Merle Stroud of San Jacinto, CA.
A Memorial Service is being held Friday, 3/8 at 1:00 PM at Mount Vernon Cemetery.
