Clifford L. "Slick" Strickland, 88, of Dayton, died Sunday, December 30, 2012, at the Liberty-Dayton Community Hospital in Liberty.
Funeral services 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 5, 2013, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Slick was born October 11, 1924 in Reese, to parents; Jewel I. and Ting Tanner Strickland, and a Dayton resident of the past 65 years. He was a veteran of the US Army Air Force with service during WWII and the Texas Guard. Mr. Strickland was the owner of Strickland Welding.
Mr. Strickland was preceded in death by his parents: Jewel I. and Ting Tanner Strickland, wives: Winifred Anderson Strickland and Bobbie Strickland, and brother: James R. "Jigs" Strickland.
