Cpl. U.S. Army, Vietnam War-Cpl. Superczynski was killed in action by small arms fire on 8-23-1968 while serving as a Medical Corpsman {91B10} with the Hdqt & HDQT. Company of the 3rd Battalion 1st Infantry Regiment of the 11th Light Infantry Brigade, Americal Division. Cpl. Superczynski started his tour of Vietnam on January 16, 1968.
He is the son of Mr. & Mrs. John Paul Superczynski, Sr. of Chicago, Illinois, and is a 1965 graduate of the Chicago Catholic School System.
Awards: Purple Heart Medal, Combat Medical Badge, Vietnam Service Medal with One Service Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal.
