Mary “Ginny” Virginia Bushnell, 75, of Waynesboro, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Augusta Health in Fishersville. She was born in New Orleans, LA on April 11, 1940.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Hardy Bushnell.

Ginny received a Master’s Degree in Education from Central State University in Ada, OK and a Master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola University in New Orleans, LA. She taught elementary school, for 10 years, in the Plainview School District in Ardmore, OK. Ginny was devout in her Catholic faith and generous in her donations to the Catholic church, the Wounded Warrior Project, the Salvation Army, and the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.

She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Bushnell; a son, Bradford T. Bushnell; and a dear friend, Marlene Favre.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, April 17, 2015 at McDow Funeral Home, Waynesboro. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Ardmore, OK.
