Services for the Rev. Clarence Ballard, 84 of 810 5th NE. will be at 2 pm. Saturday in the chapel of the Harvey Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Smith officating. Burial will be in Province Cemetery.
Ballard, born March 25, 1890 at Doniphan, Mo.. died Thursday morning in an Ardmore nursing home. after a lengthy illness. He had lived in the city for many years and returned here 12 years ago from Galt, Calif.
He married Katie Farrar on June 4, 1917 at Walnut Ridge, Ark., and was a retired minister of the Church of God and a veteran of World War I.
Serving as bearers will be Delmer Tyner, Raymond Brooks, the Rev. William T. Bartley, J.D. Culbertson, Mike Hampton and Cleo Holybee.
He is survived by his wife, Katie, of the home, two sons, Clarence Jr. of Sacramento, Calif., and Elmer Ray of Healdton; 5 daughters, Mrs. Anna Childress and Mrs. Edna Kathleen Adams, both of Ardmore, Mrs Lillie May Hawkins and Mrs. Eunice B. Carnall, both of Sacramento, and Mrs. Alma Mae Williams, Berry, Ky.; a brother, Lee of Ardmore, two sisters, Mrs. Linnie Kennedy and Mrs. Cecil Pollard, both of Ardmore; 22 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
