Thomas Lee Brown, age 87 years, who served in the Confederate army during the Civil War, passed away yesterday afternoon at the home of his son, W.H. Brown who lives in the Nabisco neighborhood 20 miles southwest of Liberal. Mr. Brown and his family came from TX and proved up a homestead in TX County, Oklahoma in 1904 where he has resided ever since. Mrs. Brown passed away in 1906.
Two sons and three daughters survive; M.C. Brown of OK City, OK; Mrs F.J. Covey who lives in AZ, Mrs M.E. Griffin who resides in CO, Mrs Ibera Phillips whose home is in TX and W.H. Brown of Bakersburg, OK.
Funeral services will be held at the church in Bakersburg.
