OBITUARY Iron River Reporter June 16 1993 "Obituaries: Willis Osborne"
ALVIN, Wis.-Willis H. Osborne, 78, died June 10 at Sacred Heart/St. Mary's Hospital in Rhinelander, Wis.
He was born June 27, 1914 in Crandon, Wis. The son of the late John and Rhoda Osborne moved to Alvin from Crandon as a young boy with his parents. He graduated from the Elvoy High School in Nelma in 1932. On Dec. 15, 1934 he married the former Viola Huff in Iron River and the couple resided in Alvin, Wis. He was a self-employed businessman, retiring in 1977. He was a member of the Cornerstone Community Church of Alvin, where he served as treasurer. He was an active member of the Senior Citizens Group and served on the Forest County Commission for the aging.
He is survived by his wife; one son Dorn of Alvin; two daughters, Donna Elaine Osborne of Sussex, Wis. and Sharon Darlene Shepherd of North Mankato, Minn.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held June 13 at Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron River.
Funeral services were held June 14 at the Cornerstone Community Church in Alvin with the Rev. Howard Ingram, pastor, officiating.
Pallbearers were John Caskey, Brent and Barry Shepherd, Joe Sanchez, Don Baker and Nate Huff.
Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery in Alvin.
