Mrs. Helen B. Pheanis, age 83, widow of Aaron F. Pheanis, of Cookeville, TN and formerly of Three Links, KY, passed away Sunday, April 15th, 2012 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Helen was born on April 11th, 1929 in Rockcastle County, a daughter of the late Robert and Effie Mae (Mullins) Smith. She was a homemaker, whose hobbies and interests included: crocheting, flowers and crafts. She was a member of Red Hill Baptist Church.
Those left to mourn her passing include: three children: Jim G. Pheanis (Arlene) of Red Hill, KY, Steven W. Pheanis (Melissa) of Three Links, KY and Victoria L. Murphy of Baxter, TN; five grandchildren: Jr., Eric, Karen, Zachary and Desiree; four great-grandchildren: Allie, Jayden, Nevaeh and Dalton; one brother: Marvin F. Smith (Dora) of Red Hill, KY; two sisters: Juanita Watson of Sardina, OH and Alberta Hale (Harold) of Richmond, IN; and several nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
Besides her parents, Helen is preceded in death by: her husband, Aaron F. Pheanis and two infant brothers.
The visitation for Mrs. Helen B. Pheanis will be Wednesday, April 18th, 2012 from 11 AM to 1 PM at Three Links Christian Church; with funeral services beginning at 1PM with Bro. Jack Martin and Bro. Grant Martin officiating. Burial will follow in John Smith Cemetery.
