Mrs. Mable Alvina Amundson, 93, resident of the Broen Memorial Home, died there this morning. Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with Rev. James McBride officiating. Burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens.
Born June 3, 1884, at Hayfield, she was a daughter of Severt and Nellie Onstad. She owned and operated a millinery shop until her marriage to Burt Orrin Amundson June 7,1911 at Hayfield. After living at Hayfield for a short time they moved to Dawson where they lived for a period of years. They moved to a farm in Carlisle Township in 1916 where they farmed and lived until 1948 when they retired and moved into Fergus Falls. Mr. Amundson died Sept. 14, 1953. She had been a resident of the Broen Home for the past six years. She was a member of Hedemarken and Bethlehem Lutheran Churches and their Ladies Aid groups.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. George (Gladys) Schulz, Fergus Falls Township; one son, James Amundson, Moorhead; six grandchildren; ten greatgrandchildren; one brother, 0. A. Onstad, Fargo and two sisters, Mrs. A. 0. (Margurite) Anderson, Fargo, and Mrs. Stella Lein, Minneapolis.
Visitation starting Friday at the Glende-Johnson-Nelson Funeral Home.
