ARKADELPHIA – Ruth Norton Anderson, 86, of Arkadelphia died Monday, Sept. 19, 2005, in an Arkadelphia nursing home. Born Sept. 9, 1919, at Copeland Ridge to Wilmer P. and Millie Rosa Ricketts Norton, she was a housewife, seamstress and member of Second Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her husband, the Rev. Loyd Anderson; one brother, Bill Norton; and one stepsister, Eloise Thomas.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Virginia Anderson of Arkadelphia, and the Rev. Kenneth and Nona Anderson and the Rev. Edward and Kathy Anderson, all of Gurdon; one daughter and son-in-law, Belva Anderson and the Rev. Clyde Jones of Pine Bluff; two stepsisters, Bernice Freeman of Gurdon and Fern Bowen of California; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The service will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Clyde Jones and John Howard officiating.
Burial will be at Center Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Foundation or Center Ridge Cemetery Fund.
