Charles Edwin Adams departed this life January 15, 2004 at his residence.
He was born January 25, 1941 in Bellevue, MD, son of the late Lockwood and Iola Adams, and was a resident of Centreville for almost 40 years.
Charles was a graduate of Moton High School and Bowie State University, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree and a master's degree in administration and supervision.
He worked in the Talbot County public school system for 33 years, serving as teacher, assistant principal and principal.
He was a member of the Charles Wesley United Methodist Church, serving as a member of the Charles Wesley Men's Chorus and United Methodist Men.
Charles was the husband of Janet Adams; and father of Avonne Adams and James "Jimmy" Jobes.
There will be a viewing from 6-8 pm on Tuesday evening, January 20, and again at 12 noon on Wednesday, January 21, at the Centreville United Methodist Church, where the funeral service will begin at 1 pm. Rev. Holbrook Smith will officiate.
Interment will follow in Chesterfield Cemetery in Centreville.
