Herman Sirls Adams, 90, passed away January 12, 2008 in Mesa, Arizona after a short illness. Herman was born December 1, 1917 in Enterprise, Utah to LeRoy and Emiline Zenetta Winsor Adams. Herman married Nellie Jenson on July 20, 1950 in Provo, Utah. Their marriage was later sealed in the Jordan River Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Herman served with the Army's 217th General Hospital Unit in the Normandy, Northern France and Rhineland Campaigns during World War II and was a proud member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion - where he served as Post Commander for many years. Herman's life revolved around farming, ranching, his family, horse races, rodeos, and visiting with his neighbors. After farming for many years in Enterprise, Utah, he moved to Parowan, Utah in 1963. There he managed the original ‘Adams' Family Farm' when Roy Adams became ill.

He is survived by his wife Nellie, three children, Keith (Jolene) Adams, William Adams, Deanna Adams, his brother Sherwin (Patricia) Adams, and sisters Etta (Charles) Twitchell and Anna Seaman; Five step-grandchildren, Melanie (Adam) Arp, Marcia (Allen) Brant, George Henry Bowser, Melisa Dotson, Monica (Brian) Myers and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday January 19, 2008 at 1:00 pm in the Parowan Stake Center. Burial will be at the Parowan City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary
