Ms. Agnes Juanita Davis Abernathy, age 73 of 612 Lovers Lane Rd., Union, passed away Monday, October 27, 2014 at her home.

Ms. Abernathy was born in Union, SC May 3, 1941, a daughter of the late Lucuis Washington Davis and Fannie Bell Brannon Davis.

Surviving are a daughter, Betty Keith of the home; three sons: Elbert “Sam” Phillips and wife Nancy, Billy Phillips and Bruce Phillips and wife Karen; a sister, Bonita Alexander all of Union; five brothers: Paul Davis, Odis Davis, Charles Davis and wife Frances all of Union, Roger Davis and wife Brenda and Dennis Davis all of Whitmire; ten grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren. Ms. Abernathy was predeceased by four sisters, Lottie Starnes, Bonnie Bramlett, Evelyn Parham and Rebecca Turner and a brother, Bruce Davis.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Union Church of God conducted by Rev. Tommy Brown and Rev. Walter Parham. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Pete McGowan, James Bramlett, Russell Phillips, Jeff Phillips, Edward Clark and Eddie Turner. Honorary pallbearers will be William Turner and Earl McGowan.

Ms. Abernathy will be carried home Wednesday where the family will receive friends after 2:00 PM.
