Funeral Services, officiated by Reverend Chris Giles and Reverend Stephen Candal, will be held Sunday, September 6, 2009 at 2p.m. in the chapel of Graham Funeral Home. The burial will follow at Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Ackerman was born October 4, 1963 in Georgetown, a son of Mr. Robert "Bobby" A. Ackerman and Mrs. Mavis C. Williams.
He was a commercial fisherman who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Mr. Ackerman was a devoted sports fan and enjoyed playing pool.
Surviving are his parents, Robert "Bobby" A. Ackerman (Shirley Clark) and Mavis (Jack) Williams, all of Georgetown; a sister, Tammy Ackerman Davis of Georgetown; three nieces, Nicky Leugers and Lorie Leugers, and Carly Gray all of Georgetown; and a nephew, Brian Ackerman of Georgetown.
He was predeceased by a brother, Micky Ackerman.
The family will receive friends from 6-8p.m. Saturday, September 5, 2009 at Graham Funeral Home.
