CALVIN RAY BEECHBOARD Aug. 21, 1947-Jan. 19, 2010 Calvin Ray Beechboard, age 62, formerly of the Parnell community of Wayne County, Ky., passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Britthaven of Somerset. He was born August 21, 1947 in Monticello, Ky., the son of the late Leonard and Primrose Dunbar Beechboard. He is survived by two brothers-Ricky (and Tami) Beechboard of Monticello, Ky. and Bobby (and Ina) Beechboard of Lexington, Ky.; four sisters-Joyce (and Ron) Haddix of Lexington, Ky., Patty Simpson of Somerset, Ky., Kathy Hughes of Somerset, Ky., and Linda Clark of La Porte, Texas; nieces-Deanna Clark, Shelly Simpson, Taylor Beechboard, and Charlotte Beechboard; nephews-Chad Beechboard, Johnathan Beechboard, James Roberts, Seth Haddix, and Nick Hughes; and several cousins, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by one nephew-Jimmy Leonard (J.L.) Hughes; and two brothers-in-law-Jimmy Lee Hughes and Dalton Clark. He was a member of the Parnell Baptist Church in Monticello, Ky. He enjoyed attending church services at Britthaven and listening to gospel and bluegrass music and watching old westerns on t.v. Funeral services were held Friday, January 22, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Parnell Baptist Church in Monticello, Ky. with Bro. Harold Smith officiating. Burial followed in the Parnell Cemetery. Lake Cumberland Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
