Agapita F. Baca, 86, of Tularosa, died Friday, March 6, 2009, at her home.
Mrs. Baca was born June 15, 1922, in Taos, N.M., to Macario and Manuelita (Sanchez) Fresquez.
Survivors include eight daughters, Fabiola Maes and her husband Gilbert of Roswell, Sadie Espinosa and her husband William of Albuquerque, Marcella Espinoza of Albuquerque, Cris Roebuck and her husband Karl of Tularosa, Dora Doody and her husband Leroy of Albuquerque, Fannie Baca of El Paso, Merlinda Castro of Alamogordo, and Anna Cesar and her husband Brian of Alamogordo; five sons, Herman Baca and his wife Lillian of Taos, Manuel Baca of Grants, Uvaldo Baca of Tularosa, Joe Baca and his wife Olivia of Tularosa, and John Baca of Tularosa; 44 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law Epifiano Fraire of Albuquerque.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jose De La Luz Baca, in 1993; a daughter Angie Fraire; a granddaughter Debbie Espinoza; a brother Antonio Fresquez; a sister Terricina Fresquez; a daughter-in-law Diana Baca; a son-in-law Eloy Espinoza; and a sister-in-law Casimira Cordova.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 10 a.m. at First Assembly Worship Center with Pastor David Crispin officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Tularosa.
Pallbearers will be her sons-in-law, Gilbert Maes, William Espinoza, Karl Roebuck, Leroy Doody, Brian Cesar and Epifiano Fraire, and her grandsons, Alex Arellano, Jesse Arellano, Morris Arellano, Elizardo Arellano, Matthew Espinoza, Leo Espinosa, Eloy Espinosa, Herman Baca, Joseph Roebuck, Adam Doody and Nathan Gonzales.
