Services for Vera Mae Applewhite of Ridgeland are 1 p.m., Friday, April 6, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Applewhite, 82, died April 3, 2001, at Manhattan Health Care in Jackson. She was born in Franklin County on Aug. 13, 1918, to Marshall Dunigan and Lula Wooten Dunigan.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Alton Applewhite; and three brothers and one sister.
Survivors are her son, Kenneth Applewhite of Ridgeland; her daughter-in-law, Mary Applewhite of Ridgeland; her grandchild, Alton Eugene Applewhite; and six brothers and one sister.
