DUMAS - Oscar Armendariz, 21, died Sunday, July 7, 2002, in Virginia Beach, Va.

Prayer services will be at 7 p.m. today in Templo Bethel. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the church with the Rev. Herlinda Mares, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Mr. Armendariz was born June 23, 1981, in Amarillo. He was a graduate of Dumas High School. He served in the Navy as an AT-3 Aviation Technician, Plane Captain.

He leaves his wife Adrian and son Andrew David Armendariz of Virginia Beach; parents Guadalupe and Lidia Armendariz of Dumas; three brothers, his twin Omar Armendariz of Hanover, N.H., and Lupe Armendariz and Bryan Armendariz, both of Dumas; sister Miriam Bonner and husband Terry of Dumas; grandmothers Elicia Moreno of Sunray and Thomasa Armendariz of Monahans; great-great-grandfather Lalo Munoz of Fort Hancock; a niece; and three nephews.
