I_was her classmate at Shawnee High School (which had grades 1-12, located a mile south of Joiner, Mississippi County, Arkansas) in Sep 1940 to Mar 1941 and Sep 1946 to Jun 1948. We were close friends and kept in touch. I last saw her at the 1989 Shawnee School Reunion and last called her Apr 2004. She was a wonderful person, like her younger siblings that I knew.

In 1979 at age 49, Bobbie married her second and last husband, James R. "Jim" BELUE, b: 28_Apr 1926 Earle, Crittenden County, Arkansas, d: 12 Dec 2005 Osceola, Mississippi County, Arkansas, aged 79), buried Crittenden Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, Crittenden County, Arkansas, Find A Grave Memorial# 1052555, last lived Osceola, where they had one of three dry cleaning businesses. Jim had a stroke about 2000 and d:_12_ Dec_2005 of heart failure at home in Osceola. A month after his death, Bobbie was diagnosed with lung cancer and died seven months later at home in Osceola. Breathing too much dry cleaning vapor possibly contributed to her death at age 75. Bobbie and Jim had no children.

Jim BELUE first married Marian Virginia COBB, born 18 Nov 1926 Heafer, Crittenden County, Arkansas, d: 09 Sep 2015, age 88, Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, buried Crittenden Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, Arkansas, Find A Grave Memorial# 10525553, had two children: Dr James Michael "Mike" BELUE who lived Ruston, Louisiana in 2015 and daughter Lynne BELUE Lawrence (Coats per her mother's 2015 obituary) who lived Little Rock, in 2005-2015. Jim and Marian had lived in Earle, Crittenden County, and later had moved to Osceola, Mississippi County. But Marian moved to North Little Rock, Arkansas in 1972 - which indicates the approximate time of their separation/divorce. Jim remarried in 1979 to Bobbie Lou SHANN0N Yates.

Bobbie was buried in Louise Chapel Cemetery near Joiner, where her parents, William Franklin "Willie" SHANNON and Velma STARLING Shannon and the first four of their eight children were buried: Melvin, Edith, William Ause, and Bobbie. ___________________End of biography of Bobbie Lou by Grant Collar
