Opal Melrose Borchers, passed away Wednesday, December 5th, at the age of 83.
Opal is survived by her husband, Roland Borchers of Fredericksburg; 2 sons: Walter Pfiester & wife Earlene of Smithville; Daniel Pfiester & wife Linda of Fredericksburg; 2 step-daughters: Raydean Borchers of Fredericksburg & Kelly Borchers of Lockhart; 4 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild & sister, Wanda Reeh & husband Alton of Fredericksburg.
Opal was born September 29, 1929, in Conroe, TX, to Ludwig "Louis" Crenwelge & Wanda Klaerner Crenwelge. She is preceded in death by her parents & her first husband, Walter Pfiester. She married Roland Borchers, September 29, 1999, in Fredericksburg.
Memorial services for Opal Borchers will be held Monday, December 10th, 2 PM, in the chapel of Fredericksburg Funeral Home, with Rev. Bobby Vitek officiating. The family will greet friends Sunday, December 9th, 4-6 PM, in Fredericksburg Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Hill Country Memorial Hospice, or the charity of one's choice.
