Corbin Robert “Toby” Hawkins, 53, of the Mudfork community in Tazewell County, died September 3, 2007 at his home. He was a disabled coal miner.
Born March 1, 1954 in Germany, he was a son of Elsie Hild-Tabor-Hawkins-DeQuino and stepson of Robert “Sam” DeQuino (1928-2018) of Bartley, WV and son of the late Corbin David Hawkins (1932-1954).
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Franz Hild (Deceased) and Elsa Hild (Deceased), and paternal grandparents, Fred Wilson (Deceased) and Rosie Wilson (Deceased).
Additional survivors include his wife and best friend, Wanda Bowman-Hawkins; sons, Toby Edward Hawkins of the home, James Stallard and wife, Stacy Stallard, of Phoenix, AZ, Robert Hawkins and wife, Jessica Hawkins, of Christiansburg; grandchildren, Kaden Hawkins, Phillip James Stallard, Randy Stallard, and Shaylee Stallard; and special friends, Randy Boardwine of Berwind, WV, and Jimmy Cooper and wife, Lisa Cooper, of Tazewell.
The funeral was conducted September 5, 2007 at 8:00 p.m. at Peery & St.Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell with the Rev. Pete Woods officiating. Burial was private.
