James Thomas “Jim” Berger was born on September 19, 1928, in Natchez, Adams County, Mississippi to James Prince Berger and Josephine (Posey) Berger. By late 1930, James, his brother Joseph E. and their parents moved to Panola County, Texas. Before April 1940, they had moved to West Carroll Parish, Louisiana and married Priscilla Viola Arellano, daughter of Federici Arellano and Petrita (Abreu) Arellano. Later in life (before 1989) the family had moved to Riverside County, California. James was an avid private pilot.
James passed away on March 23, 1994 in Atascadero, San Luis Obispo County, California. His death was preceded by his father James Price Berger (1902-1989) [Find A Grave Memorial# 36481278]. His mother Josephine (Posey) Berger (1908-1996) [Find A Grave Memorial# 36481301] survived him and possibly his younger brother Joseph E Berger (1930-?).
James' wife Priscilla Viola (Arellano) Berger [Find A Grave Memorial# 175786001]; their three children - daughters Anita and Robin Carole [Find A Grave Memorial# 37599470]; and son Bruce survived him.
